
MASTER GUNSMITH
Maximilian Mohring
Maximilian Mohring, 37 years old, was born in Lower Saxony and has been fascinated by hunting since his youth. He obtained his youth hunting license at the age of 16 and has since developed a passionate enthusiasm for hunting.
After leaving school in 2004, Max began training as a gunsmith, which he successfully completed in 2007. He then worked for the Bavarian Free State, where he was responsible for various tasks relating to weapons and their testing.
In 2013, Max switched to CNC production and then successfully completed his master craftsman’s examination in gunsmithing. He then went on to work in the specialist hunting trade, where he carried out repairs and advised customers on all aspects of firearms and hunting.
Max has been self-employed since 2016 and runs his workshop at Gut Basthorst. As a master gunsmith, he is also a firearms expert and specializes in topics such as firearms optics, ammunition and ballistics. He also works as a shooting instructor and imparts his knowledge and experience in this area. Max’s passion is to combine his craftsmanship and technical understanding in his work for his customers’ wishes.

Customer service and administration
Isabel Rickert
Isabel Rickert, born and raised in Hamburg, is a nature lover with a passion for the forest and nature. After graduating from high school, she decided to study wood management in order to combine her love of nature with her professional career.
During her studies, Isabel discovered her enthusiasm for hunting and obtained her hunting license. This passion led her to work in a gunsmith’s shop during her studies and to help build up the company.
After completing her Master’s degree, Isabel decided to continue working in the gunsmith’s workshop at Gut Basthorst. She is responsible for customer contacts, processing inquiries, advising customers and general administration. She is the point of contact for customers who have questions about gunsmithing or would like individual advice.
Isabel’s specialist knowledge and her enthusiasm for hunting make her a competent and committed employee. She is proud to be part of a team that manufactures high-quality products for hunters and nature lovers, serving customers from all over Germany. In her free time, Isabel enjoys hunting with her dog and spending time in nature.

Journeyman gunsmith
Jona Intemann
Jona, born in Lower Saxony, is a committed and nature-loving person. After training as a cutting machine operator specializing in CNC milling technology in the aerospace industry, he discovered his passion for hunting. He acquired his hunting license at the age of 18 and was influenced by his family environment at an early age.
Due to his strong interest in hunting weapons and the desire to further develop his craftsmanship, Jona decided to do a second apprenticeship as a gunsmith at Mohring Jagdwaffen. In 2024, he successfully completed his journeyman’s examination in Ehingen and has been a valued member of the team ever since.
In his position as a gunsmith, Jona is responsible for customer contacts, workshop repairs and advice. His expertise lies in metal technology and the repair of hunting weapons. His friendly and social manner makes him popular with customers and colleagues alike.
Jona is proud to be able to make its contribution to the manufacture of high-quality hunting firearms and to customer satisfaction. In his free time, he enjoys the outdoors and likes to go hunting to pursue his passion.

TRAINEE
Daniel Heuser
We are pleased to introduce our new apprentice Daniel Heuser.
The 23-year-old farmer from Münsterland combines his passion for nature with valuable experience: he has held a hunting license since the age of 16 and is particularly enthusiastic about small game hunting.
Daniel is a real animal lover and has a German shorthair that accompanies him on his hunting adventures. In his free time, he continues to be involved in farming, demonstrating his connection to nature.
In 2024, Daniel started his training as a gunsmith at Mohring Jagdwaffen and attended the school in Ehingen. We are looking forward to his development and welcome him to the team!
